Cornelia Lootsmann Cornelia Lootsmann was born in Tallinn, Estonia and studied harp with Prof. Marion Hofmann in Rostock, Germany.

Following engagements with the Philharmonic Orchestra Altenburg-Gera, Staatskapelle Weimar and the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra, Cornelia Lootsmann became a member of the Berner Symphonieorchester in 2011.

She has performed with many renowned orchestras in Estonia, the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra, the MDR Symphony Orchestra, the Kremerata Baltica and numerous others. Since 2015 she has been regularly invited as a solo harpist with the Orchestra della Svizzera italiana.

Cornelia Lootsmann is a prizewinner of the ARD 53rd International Music Competition. She has won the Richard Wagner Association Scholarship, the Horst Rahe Foundation Scholarship, received support from the Estonian Cultural Foundation Eesti Kultuurkapital, as well as from the Yehudi Menuhin Foundation Live Music Now.

She has also collaborated on many chamber music and orchestral CD and radio recordings, as well as guest appearances on radio and TV.
